I have been nominated for the ICG coach of the year
When I first began on this journey with my beautiful angel boy, I didn’t, not for one second, think I’d be here where I am today. In my deepest darkest hours when I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, when I didn’t know, what tomorrow was going to bring or how I was going to navigate this new challenge did I ever think that I was going to become a specialist parent coach that helped mum’s of newly diagnosed autistic children navigate their own journey.
This journey has been bittersweet at times. I’ve had, just like I’m sure you’ve had, moments where you think you can’t go on. That taking one more step forward, dealing with the looks and stares when your child stims, chatting with one more teacher about what your child’s slow progress feels so far reaching that you think its impossible.
I’m here standing before you my sweet dear friend to tell you that is possible. That I will help you put the pieces together to make the picture whole again. You will get through this and I will be standing beside you championing you every step of the way.
You are not alone.
You don’t need to walk this path by yourself.
Life has a funny way of showing you what you need even if you think you don’t need it or if it comes in a package that you weren’t expecting. I wasn’t expecting an autism diagnosis, it wasn’t in my plan. This is not how I had envisaged my life moving forward. Yet, I look back at what God has given me and it warms my heart. Because even in the hard times, in the times where I couldn’t go on – its lead me here. Its lead me to a group of beautiful women. Clients who light me so I can in turn light them up. Being a specialist parent coach is my mission. Its something I am so passionate about. I love the women that enter my group. That have the courage to say yes, to honour themselves and in turn they honour their child and their family.
So today I celebrate because I have been nominated for the ICG coach of the year. Again, something I wasn’t expecting, but something that I am so deeply honoured to be part of.
Formal recognition for the blood, sweat and tears it’s taken me to first of all say yes to myself and do the work and the study, all whilst managing two kids, two schools, a home, parent committee and so much more. As one of my great mentors, Tony Robbins says, where energy goes, attention flows.
Come and join me for a ride that you won’t forget.
